Live Action Anime

Looks like a live action anime that doesn’t take place completely in an out of this world setting is coming to the big screen. Active Anime is reporting that Harold Sakuishi’s popular manga and anime series, BECK, will be coming to the big screen in Japan in 2010. The series revolves around Yukio “Koyuki” Tanaka as he climbs the ladder to become a rockstar. However, the movie adaptation will revolve around supporting character, Ryusuke Minami, who will be played by Hiro Mizushima.  Thanks goes out to forum member JFDwrites for the heads up.

The film will be directed by Yukihiko Tsutsumi, director of the 20th Century Boys adaptations, and will feature 30 original songs to be performed by the actors in the film.  To discuss this news, head on over to our forums.
