The Last Airbender trailer being scored by James Newton Howard
This item of news recently surfaced on Lastairbenderfans.com. The Last Airbender producer Frank Marshall has announced that Academy Award-nominated composer James Newton Howard - whose previous credits include The Dark Knight, I Am Legend and Peter Jackson’s King Kong - is today recording the score for the movie’s teaser trailer in Los Angeles. The teaser is set to debut with the release of Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen on June 24th.
In additional Airbending news, DeeDee Ricketts, who is in charge of extras casting for The Last Airbender, is on the hunt for extras for the roles of villagers and soldiers. For villagers, she is searching for men and women between the ages of 17 and 80 and of white, Korean or Japanese ethnic background; for soldiers, white men between 18 and 40 with blue or green eyes. Shooting for these extras will begin next week and continue for several weeks.
