Japanese MW trailer posted.
ANN today reported the emergence of a trailer for MW, a live-action adaptation of a suspense manga by Osamu Tezuka. You can watch the trailer below:
The story follows a man named Michio Yuki, who as a child survived a deadly nerve gas known as “MW,” but his brain was left permanently damaged and he has no conscience as a result. He grows up to become a bank executive by day, secretly a mass murderer by night. The film will be directed by Hitoshi Iwamoto and written Tetsuya Oishi and Haruo Kimura, both of whom have previously worked on the live-action Death Note adaptations. MW is currently slated for a July 4th release in Japan; no North American or European release has yet been announced, but with the Death Note screenwriters behind it, it could be in with a chance of penetrating the western market.
