DiCaprio talks Ninja Scroll!
The Japanese Nikkan Sports newspaper has reported on Leonardo DiCaprio’s intentions for the Warner Bros. adaptation of Yoshiaka Kawajiri’s anime cult classic Ninja Scroll. The project is being produced by DiCaprio’s production company Appian Way which acquired the rights to the adaptation last year, with DiCaprio himself serving as producer.
Casting for the movie is purportedly underway; specifically DiCaprio has said that he’s considering casting the Japanese entertainment group SMAP, consisting of members Masahiro Nakai, Takuya Kimura, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, Goro Inagaki and Shingo Katori. SMAP have acted in sever anime and manga adaptations before, but haven’t all worked together since the 1994 movie Shoot. This is in line with DiCaprio’s plans to “cast Japanese people”.
Dicaprio is producing this movie alongside Warner Bros. upcoming adaption of Akira. He claims to be big fans of both movies, saying “I know there a lot of loyal fans out there of the project and die-hard fans, so we’re going to try to do the best job we possibly can and we’re not going to make the movie until the script is in the right shape.”

NINJA SCROLL THE MOVIE.
So the Japanese Pop group SMAP will be featured in the movie of Ninja Scroll,well I guess there will be some more Japanese cast to come I feel really sorry that Threshold Entertainment are not producing the Ninja Scroll movie or are they still involved?
Leonardo Dicaprio and his production Caompany Appian Way alone with Warner Bros are producing the film and also they are producing Akira movie as well.
