There are things that work in animation that cannot work in live action film, and the stylized action and off the wall story telling of the DB franchise are some of them. Taking that to heart, its the filmmaker's jobs to adapt said source material into a viable movie that will work on its own merit (for those unfamiliar with the source material) in a relatively short amount of time (series have hundreds of hourse to tell their stories, movies only have 2). Seriously, dude… if they had made it exactly like the source material, it would’ve been a confusing convoluted steaming pile of shit with blurry lame ass fight scenes and a laughable plot.
