Blood: The Last Vampire – Theatrical Trailer

Saya: The Last Vampire

Activeanime.com today released a 97 second theatrical trailer for the live-action adaptation of Hiroyuki Kitakubo’s Blood: The Last Vampire, due for release in the UK and France on June 12th

Produced by Pathe, directed by Chris Nahon (Kiss of the Dragon) and choreographed by Corey Yuen (Transporter series), Blood is the story of Saya, a half-demon employed by the US government to hunt down and eradicate the vampire-like creatures that pose a threat to humanity.

You can watch the trailer HERE. The dialogue doesn’t sound up to much, but the cinematography is sweet and it carries a hefty martial arts pedigree. I’m looking forward to this one.

Thanks to ANN for the news.

  1. dragonball should take some notes

  2. You see? You see? Anime films should not be made by American directors. America always tries to Americanize films from other cultures and get it WRONG.

  3. I’m referring to the DragonBall film being done wrong not Blood. Blood looks like a great film

  4. looks cool except for the crouching tiger hidden dragon running in the air thing, I think looks stupid, you don’t see anime characters doing that lol. I think saya could have been cuter but w/e, and kinda sucks how she has an accent that makes me giggle, but over all it looks like clean action and fantasy, i would probably watch on dvd

  5. Wow this blew right by my radar, the animated movie was great (followed by a terrible series adaptation…), I hope the best for the live action.
